Me, my mum , dad and my girlfriend Chantell went to Pontefract Races on Monday 12th June as we had free tickets from my Friday group  called Into the Sky held at the racecourse.

The meeting was called Racing for Everyone and also accomodating people who have autism into racing. There were private boxes as well which meant that people could go in these boxes if they wanted a bit of quiet , but they had a excellent view of the racecourse and particularly when the horses were coming down the final straight, and there were free drinks and biscuits in these boxes too.

There were 7 races in total and we all picked 1 horse each for each race, and we put them to win apart from race 2 which we put on to place.

In the first race it was called True Yorkshireman training series apprentice handicap stakes, there were 6 horses running, and Chantell’s horse

Indian Summers  won that one so she won £7.50.

Race two was called the northern commercials Iveco daily driveaway range EBF Maiden Fillies Stakes, there were 9 runners but we only put these to place, but mum’s choice neverstopdreaming won but she only got £2.20 as we only did it to place.

Race three was the main race was the Autism in racing handicap stakes, there were 9 runner sin this one and Dad’s horse called cmon kenny won and he won £9.70

Race four was called the tony bethell memorial handicap stakes, there were only 4 runners so someone out of us was going to win, my horse giovanni change was winning for a while but near the end yorkindness overtook it and won and mum won £7.50.

Race five was the bill carrigill memorial handicap stakes, and 8 runners in this one and Iron sheriff won this one which was mums horse, so she won £9.70 I think.

Race 6 was the the Mr Wolf sprint, there were 10 runners in this one, it was a photo finish right at the end and it was between Caesars Pearl and Milbanke and Caesars Pearl was declared the winner so dad won again and he won £17.

The seventh and final race was the Sky bet Sunday series family day 25th June handicap , 6 runners in this one and finally my horse won as I chose Hi Clare and it won so I won £8 on this one.

It was a lovely evening and the sun was out too and we all had a great time and eventually all won at least one race
