From the district’s hidden gems to local news, stories and the people which make up Wakefield, a community-driven news channel has launched.
Wakefield News Channel is the district’s first community run news channel.
Set up by Sparkle (Community Media CIC), a Yorkshire-based social enterprise which publishes a range of media, who launched the channel with funding from Wakefield Council.
Wakefield News Channel has a Facebook group and website. It is now searching for writers, bloggers, vloggers and social media reporters who want to learn/ share digital skills, join the WNC team and create some of their own captivating content.
