This was the first midweek round of fixtures, as there’s 4 rounds of matches over the next two weeks.
Leeds haven’t been great at home, but were looking for a 2nd home win of the season against a Newcastle side who have had Covid problems.

So a very good first half from Leeds, a half where they dominated but were only level, could they be more ruthless in the second half?

After 85 minutes, a quick Leeds counter attack and Alioski’s left footed shot from centre of the box went tin to the high centre of the goal, for his first Premier League goal.
With two minutes remaining, another quick Leeds counter attack, and Harrison ran and ran and his left footed shot from outside the box went into the top right corner for a stunning goal.

So an excellent performance from Leeds, but they only really put Newcastle to the sword in the last 10 minutes, but never the less it’s a 2nd home win in the Premier League for Leeds which left them 13th with 17 points.
