The hilarious spoof thriller Cluedo comes to Leeds Grand Theatre for four nights from Tuesday 22 to Saturday 26 March 2022, starring Michelle Collins who has starred in shows such as EastEnders, Coronation Street and 2000 Acres of Sky) as Miss Scarlett and Daniel Casey who has been in ITV’s Midsomer Murders) as Professor Plum.
Michelle Collins says: I’m thrilled to be joining the cast of Cluedo. Its such an iconic game and I remember how much I loved playing it with my cousins when we were younger. I’m delighted that it being brought to the stage and having really enjoyed reading the script, I’m sure audiences across the UK will love it.
Based on the classic detective board game loved by generations and the hit 1985 film Clue, this brand-new stage play of Cluedo is directed by Mark Bell (The Play That Goes Wrong, A Comedy About A Bank Robbery), and just like the game, it promises audiences of all ages a nostalgic, fun and thrilling evening of entertainment.
The Premise or synopsis is: When Miss Scarlett, Professor Plum, Mrs Peacock, Reverend Green, Mrs. White and Colonel Mustard all arrive at a country house on one dark and stormy evening, they are concerned to find they have all received the same mysterious invitation from Lord Boddy. What’s clear is that they all have something to hide, and the mystery and hysteria grows, as the inhabitants and guests of Boddy Manor start being killed, with a variety of familiar weapons, leaving everyone to wonder, who will be next!
