Everything

Mental health is about cognitive, behavioural, and emotional well-being. It is all about how people think, feel, and sometimes behave. People sometimes use the term “mental health” to mean the absence of a mental disorder.

There are different types of problems associated with mental health, here’s a few examples:

Anxiety & Panic Attacks

Bipolar disorder

Depression

Eating disorders

PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder)

Psychosis

  1. Mental health and behavioural problems e.g. drug use, depression are reported to be to be the primary drivers of disability worldwide causing over 40 million years of disability in the age group of 20 to 29 years old.
  2. Major depression is thought to be the second leading cause of disability worldwide and a major contributor to suicide and ischemic heart disease.
  3. It’s believed that 1 in 6 people in the last week experienced a common mental health problem.
  4. Every year 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem of some kind.
  5. In any given week in England,  8 in 100 people will be diagnosed with mixed anxiety and depression
  6. 4 in 100 people get diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder in any given week in England.
