What have you missed most in Lockdown? One of the things has been our outdoor adventures and days out together in Yorkshire and beyond. Things have felt a bit intense at home recently, like they have for most, so we were so excited for some outdoors fun again as we love our days out and adventures when venues opened last weekend. It was a welcome boost to our household’s wellbeing when we spent last Sunday reviewing at Go Ape! at Normanby Hall near Scunthorpe… It was just what we needed… fresh air, fun challenges and time away from home!
After an hour car journey (and a bit more due to lour lack of navigational skills!) we arrived into the stunning stately grounds of Normanby Hall where you park your car for the day (£4). Not only is the Go Ape! adventure located here but also Normanby Hall itself is stunning to visit with a courtyard, cafe and picnic areas as well as grassy places to play and have a picnic or buy an ice cream. There’s also well kept toilets and a playground. right next to where you park the car.
Once we had checked in and signed waivers we then made our way to the Go Ape! experience.
Such a great escape, super friendly and helpful staff and stunning grounds @normanbyhall… we’ll definitely be back with and without the kids! 😉 #gifted familydaysout #singlemumlife #singlemum #singleparenting

A stately backdrop to your Go Ape experience at Normanby Hall. One of our newer locations, this Treetop Challenge and Treetop Adventure course offer something a little different. No two crossings are the same – so you’re going to have to work harder as you navigate each crossing which will push you in different ways. The Challenge course will test you with free falling Tarzan Swings, speedy zip wires and the ever-tricky stirrups. We’ve gone big and bold on the Adventure course too – you’ll find this one higher than our other locations!
