We know Easter 2021 will be different but here’s our round-up of five of the best eggciting things you can do at home, from creating crafts to doing easter egg hunts, there will be something for everyone.
An Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt
Here’s what you need:
Plastic eggs
Small basket or bag to collect clues and eggs in
8-10 clues (pre-printed or handmade)
Candy or treats if you’ll be filling the eggs
You can create some clues as well such as:
“Let’s go on a treasure hunt! It will be such fun! Go to the place where you put your shoes when the day’s all done! “
“These things are quite useful if you wish to eat soup. Use two of them to play tunes. It is not a fork or a knife you are looking for. Find your next clue in a drawer with the…”
Make an Easter tree
Make Easter cards
A lot of people will be feeling lonely during the lockdown as usually Easter is a time to be with our families. If you have some spare card, pencils or pens, design a pretty card and post it to your loved ones to show them you’re still thinking of them.
Get creative
You can use random things around the house like a plastic cup and some card to cut out and make a Easter rabbit. You can decorate it and paint it however you like and it will keep the little-ones entertained.
You could do an Easter egg hunt in the garden.
There’s different places you can hide them in a garden:
- Near or behind plantpots
- On a fence
- Near a watering can
- Near a gate
An Easter quiz
Mark the occasion by getting your kids to host an Easter quiz. They can research and write the questions themselves, and come up with prizes for the winning team.
And also from Monday 29th March (today), people are allowed to meet outside with up to 6 people or 2 different households in private gardens, which makes us feel more Eastery.
